Los Angeles Angels’ seem anxious to plan viable scoring strategy – MLB News
The Los Angeles Angels have been preparing hard for the next Major League Baseball season. Recently they hinted as new MLB season will bring several changes on strategic level which is going to modify the playing style of the team on various starting points
while giving the team more confidence as well.
First of all the Angels top management has decided to plan a strategy that will certainly bring the thrust of getting early runs and secondly it will enhance the winning chances of the franchise as well. Getting early runs will be the responsibility of potential
line-up and Angels’ bench power.
The Angels’ starting pitcher Dan Haren has recently told the media about team’s new strategy explaining, “It was never a situation where the starting pitchers resented the hitters; there wasn't any friction. We felt like we had a job to do, and I think we
did a great job.”
He added, “We won 86 games. We easily could have won 90-plus games. Albert will do his thing, Kendrys looks good so far — I would expect us to score more runs and take a little pressure off the pitchers. That doesn't mean we'll let up on the intensity. We'll
be trying to throw up zeros.”
Examining last season’s record where the Angels’ stood 10th in the American League with 667 runs, is the main reason why their management now getting anxious to implement the new strategy which will automatically brings them in right place to
compete.
The Angels’ currently are also enjoying the presence of star slugger Albert Pujols. He came with a hefty contract just to give slight thrust to the Angels they needed. This offseason, the Angels also acquired C.J. Wilson and relatively made a stronger rotation.
In the meanwhile, Manager Mike Scioscia has speculated in the media that he has still to unveil two to three new strategies for the upcoming season which will give the Angels more confident to enter into a new season. Scioscia comments certainly made many
surprise as what kind of new strategy he will reveal in the upcoming season that will give the Angels right kind of momentum.
