Los Angeles Angels seem ready to excel – MLB News
With some recent heavy defeats, the Los Angeles Angels’ manager Mike Scioscia called his entire roster for a closed-door meeting to try to evaluate their mistakes and the level of efforts which are still required to achieve a good position in their respective
division.
The Angels’ who started well in the second half, now struggling to maintain their third position from the one place behind Seattle Mariners in the American League West.
This is also a worrying sign for the team, who were way ahead in the AL West even from current leaders Texas Rangers in the first few weeks of 2012 Major League Baseball season.
The Angels now dropped to third position with 61-56 win-loss along with consistently decreasing .521 winning percentage, certainly need to make some strategic changes if they really want to grab a potential post season spot in the upcoming playoffs.
Mariners, who are currently at the bottom in AL West, still capable of ousting the Angels in the race towards post season spot with their consistent late performances.
Mariners are currently sitting with 54-64 win loss while their .458 winning percentage is also improving rapidly.
During the meeting, the Angels manager Mike Scioscia told his players with great energy to start playing with more focus and more determination.
"He was different," one player said of Scioscia. "He was totally different. He was serious, funny, outgoing. It was awesome. Everybody loved it. And when we left yesterday after that game, after that meeting, everybody was feeling great."
Scioscia said."You kind of get a strong sense sometimes if there's kind of a wave of frustration going through your team, or maybe you're hitting some dog days and guys just can't see their way through what seems like just tough stretches, I think at times,
you have to get some things out there for the whole team."
Angels’ currently playing with Cleveland Indians in their three-match regular series encounter while they are at the same time understand as how difficult their future games will be. On the other hand, manager Scioscia and some other senior players are hoping
