Los Angeles Angels surpass Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1 – MLB Recap
The Los Angeles Angels surpassed the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1 in the third and final game of their three-game regular series encounter on Wednesday, June 13 at Dodger Stadium in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
Erick Aybar and Alberto Callaspo played well for the Angels and won a series decider game.
Both hammered homers to lift the Angeles on Wednesday at Dodgers’ home field.
"Erick is getting a little bit better feel from the right side. But from the left side, it's really been a struggle for him trying to find his rhythm -- how he loads, how he gathers himself, He's changed some things mechanically, and hopefully he's going
to start contributing more offensively.” Manager Mike Scioscia said with confidence on his team’s win.
Not only the Angels’ batters played wonderfully but their pitchers also played a balanced game and won in the end.
Starter C.J. Wilson pitched seven important innings and remained calm on the mound with receiving only one run and four hits. He also received only one earned run and struck-out three. Maintaining his 2.30 ERA, Wilson proved one of the winning factors for
the Angels.
"Both teams had a lot of chances to score, it seemed like, and nobody did anything with guys on base, It's just kind of ironic that we won on a solo homer from a guy who hadn't hit one yet, so it was kind of cool." Angels’ pitcher C.J. Wilson said.
On the other hand, though the Dodgers’ starter Eovaldi also played well for his team, but he too could not save the game. He pitched six refined innings and received only one run and one earned run.
In the meanwhile, the Angels are now getting in shape with these recent wins. Earlier in the season, they had few issues with their senior players as they were not playing well but as soon as their experienced players started playing the natural and balanced
game, the results also started to come.
Currently the Angels are at second position in the American League West Division with 34-30 win loss along with .531 winning percentage.
