Los Angeles Clippers visit Oklahoma City Thunder hoping to continue their winning streak: NBA Preview
Los Angeles Clippers owe their strong start to the season to their ability to win games against NBA’s top tier teams. They have dropped some big teams this season; including Memphis, Miami and Spurs, and are currently co-leading
the Western Conference with the Grizzlies (8-3).
The Clips game against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday was super close; the Spurs gave a tough fight in the final period before Chris Paul sealed the deal at 92-87, their second win over the Spurs this season.
"It's a good win, a good road win, but at the same time the season is still very young and we've still got a lot of road games left to play," forward Blake Griffin told the Clippers' official website after the win.
Chris Paul collected 19 points and a hit a game winning jumper that night to kick off a 4 game road trip for the Clips on a high note. They visit the upbeat Oklahoma City tonight, and they will have more challenging places to visit
in the form of Brooklyn and Atlanta later on. They are currently 3-0 on the road and will be looking to improve their away from home record.
Clips are sitting on top of the table with some strong play on the front end of the court. They are leading the Western Conference with 49.2 shooting from the floor and are the runner’s up in scoring with an average of 92.6 points
per game.
The Los Angeles Clippers will be facing a stern test of their ability as they travel to Oklahoma City tonight hoping to win their seventh game in a row for the first time in 21 years. Kevin Durant will be looking to stop them;
he is red hot with 24.5 points per game to go along with 10.5 rebounds per game so far this season.
Thunder come into this game with some momentum as they have won the last two games by crossing the 110 point mark in both encounters. Their new sixth man Kevin Martin has been in fire and seems to have filled in the gap left by
the departure of James Harden quite comfortably.
Last season, Thunder lost 3 out of 4 games to Los Angeles. They will be looking to improve their series record as they host the Clips tonight. Kevin Durant led the Thunder in scoring in all those four games and crossed the 30 point
mark in two of them. Oklahoma City will be looking for Durant to carry them tonight once again.
The Clips will have to be wary of Serge Ibaka as well, who continues to be the best in business of blocking; he is averaging 3.4 blocks per game this season.
