Los Angeles Dodgers’ Matt Kemp to start a multi-game Minor League rehabilitation assignment
The Los Angeles Dodgers' centre-fielder Matt Kemp has begun his efforts to come back into the Major League as he has been serving his potential time on rehabilitation for his left hamstring issues.
Sources are claiming that Kemp is scheduled to start a multi-game Minor League assignment in which he will cover some potential exercise and some match practice.
The Dodgers’ Minor League team Class-A Rancho Cucamonga will he overlooking Kemp’s potential games and different exercises under keen attention.
Kemp’s rehabilitation process and his potential comeback into the big league is one thing, but here is also an important fact which is kind of a tradition of Major League that every time a MLB player goes into Minor League for rehabilitation, he pays the bills for pre-game and post-game food spreads for the entire roster.
"I have to bring my checkbook because I know those boys can eat, It's tough being in the minor leagues with the money that you get down there. I was eating Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken every day. I'm going to feed them well. I like to eat, so I want to eat well too. I don't want to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at night. I'll definitely bring some good food," Kemp said with a light mood.
Kemp added for his potential return, "It will be exciting to get back on the field and be playing again."
On contrary to a lighter fact that Kemp will be paying the bills for food, it is also a very important time period where he will help himself to get back on the Major League.
Before getting injured, Kemp was playing tremendously. He was carrying a solid .355 hitting average along with 12 homers, 28 RBIs and .444 OBP.
Not only this season’s stats, but Kemp’s last couple of seasons stats, also make him a good role player in the Dodgers franchise.
His potential comeback into the big league is also very important for the Dodgers’ management and hopefully after this All-Star break we will see Kemp playing again for his team.
