Los Angeles Dodgers acquire Rob Rasmussen – MLB Update
The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently having a roller coaster offseason. They have signed some of the most talented pitchers and hitters in this Major League Baseball offseason.
Now news is coming in the media that the Dodgers have also acquired Rob Rasmussen, who is a former player of Pasadena Poly and University of California Los Angeles UCLA. He is coming in the Dodgers’ roster after a trade with the Houston Astros who received right hander John Ely.
"I loved being there, but it's hard to contain your excitement when you get traded to the only team you ever wanted to play for," Rasmussen said of the Astros organization.
He said and explained more details about his new relationship with the Los Angeles Dodgers’ franchise, "I went to a very small, academically focused high school, Pasadena Poly, and I always wanted to go to college. I never thought about playing pro baseball at that point in time. To be honest I don't know if I was ready for the minor-league lifestyle at that point in time."
Rasmussen is a great player and possesses extraordinary skills. His arrival in the Dodgers’ roster will give them a positive thrust in the next Major League Baseball season.
Already the Dodgers have become more powerful after they signed former Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Zack Greinke. With Greinke’s arrival, the Dodgers now feel more confident to play in the next Major League Baseball season.
Greinke possesses large Major League experience. He has almost eight-year of professional career under his belt. Last season, playing with the Angels, he showed enormous courage on the mound and truly played a key role in the Angels several wins.
Achieving consistent numbers of 3.48 ERA along with 15-5 win-loss, 200 strikeouts and 1.20 WHIP, Greinke earned appreciation from many baseball experts.
Not only Greinke played a good season with the Angels, but he had a very promising career with Milwaukee Brewers and Kansas City Royals.
Overall his career ERA of 3.77 along with 92-78 win-loss, 1332 strikeouts and 1.25 WHIP also makes him a good role player in the entire league.
