Los Angeles Dodgers batter San Francisco Giants 3-2 – MLB Recap
Los Angeles Dodgers battered the San Francisco Giants 3-2 in the first game of their three-match regular series encounter on Monday, October 1 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
“It's really exciting, They are playing so good. They just have to keep playing like that," Elian Herrera said.
Dodgers sneak past with a one run margin but still it was huge win for them. They proved their new offensive strategy which worked certainly well against the Giants at the last stages of 2012 Major League Baseball regular season.
"Hopefully the Reds can get out to a good lead and turn it over to their bullpen, which is very strong, He called us on the carpet," Ellis said. "Since then, guys have looked themselves in the mirror stronger."
Dodgers’ upfront batting line-up played beautifully and rattled the Giants with great energy. They kept the Giants’ under pressure and won in the end. Their batters and pitchers played offensively and showed their class.
"That ball was smoked, We were in a tough situation there. Marco made a great effort," Giants' manager Bruce Bochy said.
On the other hand, the Giants’ once again could not do much against the Dodgers. They played most of the game under pressure and lost in the end with bitter humiliation.
Giants’ pitchers and hitters lost the composure and could not play their natural game.
Starter Matt Cain pitched five innings and received two runs and four hits. He received one homer and struck-out two on his 2.79 ERA. He could have played much better but overall his pitching was way-ward as he could not save the game for his team.
"It was a good overall season, but it's something that I don't want to be sitting on, I want to have a good bit more starts in the postseason," Cain said.
Dodgers’ pitchers played much better and did not receive many runs which eventually proved one of the winning factors for the their team.
Aaron Harang pitched six solid innings and received one run and two hits. He struck-out three while he remained consistent on his 3.61 ERA.
