Los Angeles Dodgers consider signing Anibal Sanchez – MLB Update
Los Angeles Dodgers are making a serious effort to sign six-year Major League veteran Anibal Sanchez.
Reports have confirmed that that Dodgers and Sanchez’s agent have spoken about the potential possibility of a long term deal.
Sanchez performed tremendously this recent past season. Playing for the Detroit Tigers, he performed with persistence and won many games for them.
He finished with 3.86 ERA along with 9-13 win-loss, 167 strike-outs and 1.27 WHIP.
Some reports have also speculated in the media that Dodgers are not the only team who is showing interest in Sanchez’s free agency.
Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Angels and New York Yankees are also among teams who are willing to exercise their potential options on Sanchez.
“You know what, I’m the person that thinks daybyday. I don’t try to be ahead on anything. Right now I just focus on what I’m going to do tomorrow. The free agent I know is coming, but that’s my agent’s job, That’s why I have an agent. Right now I focus on tomorrow. I don’t think too much what’s going to happen after that. The only thing I take care is I want to finish my postseason out,” Sanchez said during the playoffs and explained about the potential factors of his new contract with in any franchise.
Sanchez added, “At this point I understand that’s part of the business, even this year. This year I know my free agents is coming.”
Played in Florida/Miami Marlins for most of his career so far, the talented starter played the 2012 Major League Baseball season with the Detroit Tigers and showed his one of the best performances since coming into the big league.
No doubt he is talented player and knows his game well but his recent free agency is making much noise and provoking many teams to sign him.
On the other hand, the Dodgers’ seem more optimistic and feeling comfortable regarding Sanchez’s signing with them.
Recently some sources have somewhat speculated that the Los Angeles Dodgers and Sanchez might agree on a mutual understanding soon which will also determine the Dodgers season’s performance.
