Los Angeles Dodgers could sign Zack Greinke and Anibal Sanchez – MLB Prediction
Reports are coming that the Los Angeles Dodgers’ seriously looking to add some more fire power in their roster.
The Dodgers’ starting line-up was little rusty this past Major League Baseball season as their management is now thinking to add some starters from the free agency market.
Former Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Zack Greinke and Detroit Tigers Anibal Sanchez are the top priorities for the Dodgers at the moment.
Though all the sides have still to meet for any further development but speculation is that this will be a huge progress regarding Dodgers, Sanchez and starter Greinke’s future.
Free agent Greinke and Angels’ have recently failed to negotiate on a fresh contract. Greinke played for Angels in 2012 season as he was acquired from the Milwaukee Brewers.
He finished this recent past season with 3.48 ERA along with 15-5 win-loss, 200 strikeouts and 1.20 WHIP.
Earlier many experts did predict that Angels might re-sign Greinke but later it was revealed that Angels want some more hitters and they are not willing to spend any extra cash on starting rotation.
On the other hand, the Dodgers’ second potential addition, Anibal Sanchez is also a talented player and showed a good level of consistency in the Detroit Tigers’ roster.
He finished 2012 season with 3.86 ERA along with 9-13 win-loss, 167 strikeouts and 1.27 WHIP.
In the meanwhile, according to an expert, all the other Major League teams are also taking much interest in Anibal and Greinke’s free agency.
Not only Greinke and Sanchez but Josh Hamilton is also among those players who are in top list of many big franchises.
"The Rangers will make a serious run at him, but they also know better than anyone the nurturing and babysitting he needs, not to mention how his tremendous hot streaks come with the most frigid of cold streaks, If Milwaukee is aggressive, Brewers coach hitting coach Johnny Narron, who was Hamilton's confidante in both Cincinnati and Texas, could be a major tie-breaker as Josh makes his decision," expert Scott Miller wrote for Hamilton.
Experts believe that next few weeks will be very critical when all these teams will engage talks with all the free agents.
Dodgers however, remain optimistic to bring Sanchez and Greinke into the starting rotation for next Major League outing.
