Los Angeles Dodgers crush Los Angeles Angels 5-2 – MLB Update
The Los Angeles Dodgers crushed the Los Angeles Angels 5-2 in the second game of their three-match regular series encounter at Dodger Stadium in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
The three-match series is now levelled 1-1 as the first game was won by the Angels 3-2.
Dodgers’ batting was phenomenal especially their right fielder Andre Ethier played wonderfully with two hits, one run and one RBIs. Along with Ethier first baseman Juan Rivera also played a role in the Dodgers win. He hit a three run homer and powered his
team to bounce back into the series.
"I was focused on the task at hand, having the same good approach and the same good swing," Ethier said. "When you focus on that instead of the outcome, good things happen. It's fun to see they're going to start stacking up in this Dodger uniform, it's fun
they have that much belief in you."
Angels manager Mike Scioscia also said, "Joe said he was safe. He said he saw his hand get in there, I don't need to see a replay. I thought he was out. Obviously, it's a big play. We didn't get the call to get out of the inning.”
Angels’ starter Jerome Williams proved real disaster for his team. He could not play well and allowed five runs in 7.2 innings and gone with 4.20 ERA.
He was also hammered with a home run and five earned runs.
On the other hand, the Dodgers starter Aaron Harang did well for his team. His pitching paved the ground in the Dodgers win.
Harang pitched seven innings’ spell and allowed only two runs and six hits. Striking out five Angels’ batters, Harang remained consistent with 3.59 ERA and earned a great win for the Dodgers.
In the meanwhile, the last game of the series is scheduled on Wednesday, June 13 and both will try their best to win the game as well as the series.
The Dodgers with this win now standing comfortable at top position in the National League West with 40-23 win loss record along with .635 winning percentage.
