Los Angeles Dodgers crush San Francisco Giants 4-0 – MLB Recap
The Los Angeles Dodgers crushed the San Francisco Giants 4-0 in the third and final game of their three-match regular series encounter on Sunday, July 29 at AT&T Park in San Francisco.
Dodgers’ played aggressive from start of the game and proved their valour in the end as they won with a big margin.
Their entire roster played combined and rattled the Giants with full force. From their starting pitchers to hitting prowess, every player played his part and won the game for their team.
With this win, the Dodgers’ also won the series and are now looking forward their upcoming encounter against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Throughout the series, the Dodgers kept the Giants under pressure and never gave them any chance to take control of any game.
Not only their pitchers but the entire batting lineup also played wonderfully and never gave any big loop holes to their opponents.
The all three games which the Dodgers won were big margin wins where they simply handcuffed the Giants hitting offence.
In Sunday’s game, both pitchers and hitters played their part and supported each other in all areas of play which eventually proved decisive for the Dodgers as they edge past the Giants with ease.
Clayton Kershaw did a terrific job as he pitched nine innings and allowed no run. He received only five hits and retired seven potential Giants batters on his 2.95 ERA.
"We understand this is our year, there's no excuses," Kershaw said on his performance. "Everybody's doing everything they can to put us in the right place to win. We just have to go out there and play now."
Kershaw added, “It puts us right back in the middle of things, My fastball wasn't great. I just didn't have that little extra on it. But (my) offspeed was good and I mixed it up. It was just kind of a combination of everything, really."
Along with Kershaw, the Dodgers hitters also played their part and earned a great victory for their team. Juan Rivera, Hanley Ramirez and James Loney added one run a-piece in the Dodgers’ win.
