Los Angeles Dodgers fixing stadium before 2013 Major League Baseball Season – MLB News
It looks like the Los Angeles Dodgers are fixing their stadium as they are expecting a good 2013 Major League Baseball regular season. The estimated costs for repairing the stadium are hovering around US$ 100 million.
A new sound system and a couple of huge video boards will be put in to place to give the fans something to cheer about. The Dodgers have spent a lot of money in the offseason as they bring in top quality players for the 2013 season. Having been bought last
year by the Guggenheim Baseball Management, the Dodgers are looking to not only revamp their team but also their aging stadium.
Los Angeles Dodgers’ President and CEO Stan Kasten recently commented that the plan to fix the stadium is being done so that the fans can enjoy themselves in a new and improved environment.
The Dodgers’ senior vice president of planning and development, Janet Marie Smith said, “We want to provide fans with the kind of information they're used to seeing at home.”
Many improvements are going to be done to the stadium which includes improving the dugouts, clubhouses and walkways. Most of the changes are going to be done to facilitate the fans as well as the players.
It is hoped that the repairs and modifications to the stadium will be completed before the start of the 2013 MLB regular season. ''We do still think we're going to get done by Opening Day, but it's going to be a scramble,'' Kasten said. ''It might leak into
the season.''
The team will definitely not mind the time it takes to get the upgrades to their stadium as it will be well worth the wait. The new facilities will enable to Dodgers to practice in a more efficient manner as the fans will love the new make-over to the stadium
as they come to support the team.
The Dodgers will be looking to start the 2013 regular season on a positive note. The modifications to the stadium will help improve the fans perception that the Dodgers are looking to improve themselves and have a much better season from last year.
