Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti seems confident for upcoming season - MLB News
The Los Angeles Dodgers’ general manager, Ned Colletti is looking very confident and also showing great belief in his team. He recently arrived from Milwaukee after attending the 2011 Major League Baseball’s annual winter meeting with huge optimism of surpassing
every team when the 2012 season would start in April.
Colletti, who signed seven free agents this offseason, was certainly showing his great player power when he spoke to several reporters in Los Angeles, on Sunday. He was very specific about two main players of his, Clayton Kershaw and Matt Kemp, who are also
one of the best men around in the National League, as they would prove their valour against every NL team especially against their city rivals, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Bringing the Angels’ matter in view also makes sense to many as they have become stronger than ever after getting the prized Albert Pujols from the St. Louis Cardinals two weeks ago.
According to Dodgers’ general manager, their current 40-man roster include some of the very fine players like pitcher, Michael Antonini along with Chad Billingsley, Chris Capuano, Scott Elbert, Stephen Fife, Javy Guerra, A. J. Ellis, Matt Treanor, Mark Ellis,
Dee Gordon, Adam Kennedy, James Loney, Russ Mitchell, Alex Castellanos, Andre Ethier, Juan Rivera and Corey Sullivan.
All these players have relatively good experience in the Major League and in the upcoming days, their performances will also boost. Emphasising more on Clayton Kershaw’s and Matt Kemp’s game in the next season, many baseball experts have already speculated
in the media that these two players have a fare chance of winning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2012.
Looking at their stats too, many will not argue on the amount of effort they have put in during the 2011 season. However, the extraordinary confidence of Ned Colletti on his two main players is somehow correct in the eye of several critics.
These critics have also closely seen the whole 2011 MLB season and for them, if any player shows that amount of commitment as Kershaw and Kemp did in the last season, they should be appreciated and deserve acknowledgment on their previous quality performances.
