Los Angeles Dodgers humiliate Arizona Diamondbacks 6-1 – MLB Recap
The Los Angeles Dodgers humiliated the Arizona Diamondbacks with 6-1 hammering on Monday, May 21 in the first game of their three-match regular series encounter at Chase Field, Phoenix in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
The Dodgers’ starter Chris Capuano was the man to watch as he stayed confident on the mound for six straight innings and allowed only one run and four hits giving his team a clear advantage over the Diamondbacks, who could not even match the Dodgers inexperienced
pitching offence.
Capuano struck out five Los Angeles batters and remained the only pitcher who was able to hold the Dodgers with his fast pitching.
"I couldn't be having any more fun playing the game right now," Capuano said.
Later behind the plate catcher Treanor said for Capuano’s pitching, "He's an outstanding guy, obviously, Anytime somebody, you know how hard they work to get back in the game and get back in the big leagues, to be able to perform at a high level, that's
a tribute to him and his work effort. You can't feel nothing but good for him. It's funny, when you least expect it, it happens, I was just trying to stay in the middle part of the field and get the barrel out.”
On one side, one team’s pitchers played exceedingly well, but on the other side, the opposing team’s pitchers simply showed no level of commitment and gave away the game with utter humiliation.
The Diamondbacks pitchers including Patrick Corbin, Craig Breslow and Bryan Shaw were all rattled by the Dodgers’ batting offence in all nine innings.
Starter Patrick Corbin went with two runs along with seven hits and two earned runs and started a poor beginning for the Diamondbacks.
Craig Breslow went in 1.2 innings with one hit and one run while relief pitcher Craig Breslow also was unimpressive with his one inning of pitching as he gave three runs and three hits giving away the game with utter disgrace.
In the meanwhile, some experts believe that though the Diamondbacks have lost the first game, but they possess the capability to make a potential comeback in the very next game.
