Los Angeles Dodgers lose to Milwaukee Brewers 2-6 – MLB Recap
Los Angeles Dodgers lost to Milwaukee Brewers 2-6 in the fourth and final game of their four-match regular series encounter on Thursday, May 31 at Dodger Stadium in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
Brewers played as one unit throughout the game and won in the end quite comprehensively. From batters to pitchers, everybody played well and proved helpful for Milwaukee’s win.
Starter Zack Greinke remained confident on the mound for six innings and allowed only one run. He struck-out seven Dodgers’ batters and maintained his 3.46 ERA.
"It was pretty impressive, They're playing better than they have in a while. But we've been due for something like this for a while, so hopefully it continues. I feel like our offense is clicking and getting enough runs on the board so that we can get on a good roll if we keep pitching like we did in this series." Greinke said about his own play in which he never showed any loop-holes to opposing team’s batting line-up, which is known to be one of the best in the Major League.
Later team manager Ron Roenicke commented on his roster’s tremendous effort as they all played as a single unit and briefly took the game as well series away in style, “We played four good games. We got great pitching, and we got some timely hitting, Having four games against these guys in their ballpark, we had to play four great games to beat them. And we did.”
With this win, the Brewers have also strengthened their four-game winning streak. Before coming into this series, the Brewers were not sure that what results will come against the Dodgers who were coming with a 2-1 series win against the Houston Astros.
However, the Brewers had lost the previous series against the Arizona Diamondbacks as they showed little uncertainty when they arrived in Los Angeles.
On the other hand, as soon as they arrived in Los Angeles, they started to show their hidden prowess which eventually started to impress in every game they played against the Dodgers. Winning the first game 3-2, the Brewers went on to win the next three games as well.
