Los Angeles Dodgers lose to Oakland Athletics 1-4 – MLB Recap
The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to Oakland Athletics 1-4 in the third and final game of their three-match regular series encounter on Thursday, June 21 at O.co Coliseum in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
The Dodgers played poorly throughout the series and lost all three games of the series.
Oakland on the other hand, played brilliantly and won in style in the end. They won all three games with big margins and never showed any lame performance.
From their batters to pitchers, the A’s stayed strong and performed with big heart.
In Thursday’s game, the A’s entire roster played wonderfully and gave their team a superb win.
Cuban defector Yoenis Cespedes played a key role in the A’s win. His walk-off home run proved one of the winning factors for the A’s.
“I knew it was in fair territory, but I didn't know it would be a home run, I'm very happy. My teammates said, 'You always do so much, you've hit key home runs to put us ahead, but you still need a walk-off.'” Cespedes said.
Though the Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw did well in his eight innings but his teammate relief pitcher Lindblom  was the real man who literally gave the game away to the A’s. Kershaw’s one run and his three runs’ proved lethal as the A’s took the game in style.
"It's fun to win, it's fun to pitch well, When you're not winning, or not pitching up to expectations there's a little frustration." Kershaw said regarding his outing.
Later Lindblom said, "In that situation they had the momentum on their side, Coming in at the start of an inning and walking the leadoff guy is unacceptable, especially in a tie game."
Travis Blackley on the other hand, played wonderfully for the A’s. He pitched eight innings and gave only one run along with one earned run as his ERA remained consistent at 3.15.
In the meanwhile, this is a healthy sign for the A’s as their team now stable at third position in the American League West Division with 34-36 win loss along with .486 winning percentage.
