Los Angeles Dodgers not interested to sign Zack Greinke – MLB Update
Zack Greinke is currently the focus of attention for many Major League Baseball teams. His free agency is garnering interest from all over the big league but still he and his agent have not made their mind to accept any potential offer from any leading franchise as both are looking more cautious for signing another deal.
Greinke last played for the Los Angeles Angels and performed with consistency. However he could not negotiate well with the South Los Angeles baseball franchise for a potential extension on his existing contract as he filed for free agency in the offseason.
Angels’ general manager Jerry Dipoto said, "Zack is a curious guy, an intellectual, and he wanted to see what free agency is about. We respected that, I wish him the best. Zack is a good person, he works hard, and he's an outstanding pitcher. What he gets, he gets."
Now as free agent, Greinke is looking for another Major League team for a possible long contract. Earlier some in the media described that Greinke probably will sign again with the Angels but later it was revealed that Angels’ management is not interested in him as they signed two talented pitchers Tommy Hanson and Joe Blanton with a low price tag.
On the other hand, it was also revealed in the media that the other Los Angeles baseball franchise the Los Angeles Dodgers is also showing interest to sign Zack Greinke for next potential seasons.
However, news is coming now that Dodgers are not in the race to sign Greinke as well. It came from a reliable news source that the Dodgers’ general manager Ned Colletti has recently made comments which are clearly suggesting that Greinke is not a priority for the Dodgers at the moment.
Dodgers’ general manager Ned Colletti said, "We're not on the front lawn. ... We're barely out of the car at the curb. It's better than driving around the neighborhood looking for the house. We know where the house is located. We just can't seem to get out of the car."
Last season, Greinke went achieving 3.48 ERA along with 15-5 win-loss, 200 strike-outs, 1.20 WHIP.
