Los Angeles Dodgers’ relief pitcher Kenley Jansen talks about his potential heart procedure

Los Angeles Dodgers' relief pitcher Kenley Jansen did not play the whole 2012 Major League Baseball season instead his irregular heartbeat has barred him playing at differ times in past two regular seasons.
On the other hand, the Dodgers’ team doctors have also announced in the media that Jansen will be having a potential heart procedure which will make things brighter for him as well as for the Dodgers.
Before the procedure, Jansen has spoken to a sports website and told them about the difficulties he had and the hardships he suffered during this regular season due to heart problems.
During his interview session, Jansen also explained about the experience of becoming a pitcher after starting his career in the Major League as catcher.
This transition from a catcher to pitcher was very difficult earlier but by the course of time and confidence given by the team helped him tremendously play as a pitcher.
"I never used to like pitching, even when I was in little league. I used to pitch a little bit but I never liked that position. I always thought I was going to be a great catcher, But being in the World Baseball Classic, catching for the Netherlands against Dominican, throwing that big out at third against Tavarez, then throwing out Hanley Ramirez, that opened eyes for everybody, to see that I had a great arm," Jansen said in detail and explained about his transition from a catcher to pitcher.
Jansen added, "It was hard, because I never wanted to quit as a catcher, everybody told me to give it a try.”
Since he started his career as a pitcher, Jansen has been playing quite consistently. His career 2.22 ERA is quite impressive along with 34 save, 236 strike-outs and 0.95 WHIP.
This year, he finished with 2.35 ERA along with 25 saves, 99 strike-outs and 0.85 WHIP.
Some experts believe that Jansen should have been playing somewhere else in the league than in the Dodgers as it would have provided him more chances to become a star with the level of talent he possesses.
