Los Angeles Dodgers’ reliever Ronald Belisario faces a 25-game suspension – MLB News
Using banned drugs in the Major League Baseball is severely prohibited and many in the history of this game have faced serious consequences due to taking Performance-Enhancing Drugs (PED). Recently, another case of a MLB player’s involvement in PED has been reported by an unknown person, accusing one particular individual from the Dodgers’ roster of abusing the organisation’s code of conduct.
The news is coming from different sources that this time relief pitcher from the Los Angeles Dodgers’ roster, Ronald Belisario has dishonoured the very drug code of Major League Baseball and is facing charges of at-least a 25-game suspension.
It means the hard-throwing Venezuelan and one of the most talented pitchers of current MLB era; Belisario will miss the opening day start-up and sit in the bullpen for 25 games for his team in the upcoming year.
Sources familiar with little information about Belisario’s drug violation somehow did not clearly describe about what kind of drug violation the Venezuelan has made, but they did state that these kinds of breaches always result in at-least a 25-game suspension by Major League authorities.
A little while ago, the Milwaukee Brewers left-fielder and current National League’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), Ryan Braun also did the same kind of mistake bringing shame to his franchise and for his own career as well by taking some prohibited drugs for achieving extraordinary results from his throwing.
The lab tests of Braun came positive over a banned drug while he was charged with a 50-game suspension. Later, he did appeal in a higher court in Milwaukee against his charges but according to experts, he will lose the battle in the court room and will face a 50-game suspension next season.
Coming onto Ronald Belisario’s current position where he is facing a ban of at-least 25 Major League games, the situation points-out a major lack in ethics of modern athletes, who can do anything for achieving a certain goal in their professional sport career.
Many might not believe that this evil of abusing the drug code still exists in almost every major game across the world and despite many efforts made in the past to nip this immorality in the sports world, nothing substantial has improved so far.
