Los Angeles Dodgers rout Colorado Rockies 11-5 - MLB Recap
The Los Angeles Dodgers humiliated the Colorado Rockies 11-5 in the final game of their three-match regular series encounter on Sunday, May 13, at Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
Dodgers led early in the first two innings and kept the pressure on the Rockies and eventually won the game with style.
This was certainly an embarrassing loss for the Rockies who could not even win a single game from the Dodgers.
Later after the game, the Rockies manager Jim Tracy said on his team’s poor effort, "Embarrassing. We did everything to set the stage for them to beat us, nine base on balls from the fifth inning on. The walks in the fifth inning set the stage for them to take the 8-4 lead. There's no way of saying it nicely. That's awful."
Though the game was won by the Dodgers, but still they suffered a slight blow as their centre fielder Matt Kemp had some troubles with his left hamstring which certainly can cause some serious problems in the near future.
“It's been a little bit scary, not knowing how my hamstring would hold up, I think I just need to let it heal for a little bit. I don't know how much time that's going to take. I'll see how it feels later on tonight and tomorrow, and we'll go from there.” said Kemp.
Kemp, who so far with 12 home-runs is the leading player in the Dodgers’ roster, is also certainly a very talented player and this recent incident of his slightly injured left hamstring could result in some serious problems for the Dodgers.
On the other hand and on contrary to Kemp’s hamstring issue, the Dodgers, with this win are enjoying four-game winning streak which was started against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday May 9.
Their next encounter of two game series is against the Arizona Diamondbacks from Monday, May 14.
Dodgers with their new ownership are looking in good shape in this season and if they kept their winning combination in place, their consistent .676 winning percentage will further improve.
