Los Angeles Dodgers surpass Philadelphia Phillies 2-1- MLB Recap
The Los Angeles Dodgers surpassed the Philadelphia Phillies 2-1 in the second game of their four-match regular series encounter on Tuesday, June 5 at Citizen Bank Park in 2012 Major League Baseball season.

Coming into this game, the Dodgers were all clear that they have to win the game, and they certainly did. From their batting prowess to pitching offence, the Dodgers outclassed the Phillies in every of play.
Cliff Lee played poorly and could not able to provide the Phillies with decent start which eventually proved a bigger humiliation for his team.
He gave two runs and six hits in his 7.2 innings. He also gave two earned runs and also could not hold on to his mere 2.92 ERA.
"The double off the wall was a bad pitch, A 2-2 curveball that was belt high, inner third. I mean it was a horrible pitch. At that point in the game, I've definitely got to make a better pitch than that." said Lee on his particular outing.
Later, the Dodgers manager Don Mattingly also stated in the media about some factors which were certainly the winning points of his team’s great win. He said in detail, “When Cliff throws a game like that, our guy's got to throw right with him. That's what
happened. Bills gave us a chance, and we got a big hit. Cliff got ahead early with breaking balls but got that one up, and the kid made a nice pass at it and Juan [Pierre] almost caught it."
On the other hand, the Dodgers starter Chad Billingsley performed well in his seven innings. He allowed only one runs in six hits but he did able to retire three Phillies batters and came out victorious with 3.80 ERA.
