Los Angeles Galaxy hosted Chicago Fire in a Major League Soccer week-18 tie at The Home Depot Center on Saturday, June 9.
The first half ended without any goals scored from either side.
While the first half ended goalless, the Galaxy bossed the midfield with almost 55 percent of the ball possession. The Fire, like always, lacked communication and could not see much action in the attacking half as the final touch was hard to come by.

The Fire replied in the very next minute. Defender Jalil Anibaba fired a shot from nearly 35 yards out, but the ball flew right into Josh Saunders’ hands.
Ten minutes later, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Pappa-c23722 tried his luck on the goal. The Guatemalan received let fly a right footed shot towards the right side of the goal. However, Saunders was quick to judge and leapt to his left to save the try.

The best chance of the first half came in the last minute of the half. Landon Donovan, who was deployed in a striker’s position by Bruce Arena, was fed with a through pass by young Juninho in the 44th minute. The skipper dribbled into the box

A minute later, Anibaba made himself dangerous on a Nyarko pass. His attempted finish towards the far post missed the target and the half ended all square.
