Los Angeles Kings wins 4-2 against Nashville Predators as both team cling on to appearing in the playoffs
Another one of Tuesday’s games was played at the Bridgestone Arena as Nashville Predators played host to Los Angeles Kings.
Both teams are still in the playoff race with Kings in the cut and needing points to move ahead of the race while Predators are just a point outside the cut.
The game started off with both teams making a decent start which resulted in Kings taking the lead. However, Predators were able to draw level as the period ended.
Kings managed to carry the form into the second period where they scored twice to lead by two goals at the end of the period.
Both teams scored once again in the final period. In the end, it was Kings who won the game by 4-2.
Dustin Brown of Kings was named the star of the game as he scored a goal and came up with an assist during the game.
Both teams made a strong start where there were shots on goal from both teams every now and then. Predators constructed some decent plays and had plenty of scoring opportunities.
Kings were the stronger of the two teams when it came to the offence in the middle part of the period and scored through Anze Kopitar’s well placed flick shot.
Predators managed to come up with some decent plays and scored in the 18th minute through Jonathon Blum from a powerful strike to level the scores. The period ended with the scores level on 1-1 with Kings making 6 shots on goal during the period
while Predators made 13 shots on goal.
The second period saw the saw Kings in hot form right from the start as they piled up shot after shot. The away side managed to build up quite a lot of pressure which resulted in Kings scoring in the third minute through Alec Martinez from a well placed
shot to get into the lead.
Kings continuing pressure on the home team saw them scoring in the 13th minute once again to double their lead.
The goal was scored by Wayne Simmonds from a quick fired shot. The period ended with Kings leading 3-1. During the course of the period, Kings made 7 shots on goal while Predators made 11 shots on goal.
Both teams made a decent start to the final period which saw Predators scoring early in the 13th minute through JP Dumont from a tip in shot.
However, Kings wrapped up the game as they scored once again in the 19th minute through Dustin Brown’s goal which was scored from a flick shot.
The period and the game ended with Kings winning the game by 4-2 in the end.
During the final period, Kings made 5 shots on goal while Predators made 8 shots on goal.
