Los Angeles Lakers 40 vs. Sacramento Kings 49: 1st Half NBA Recap
On Monday night, the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Sacramento Kings in the game two of their three consecutive game stretch, and by the half time, they were trailing by 49-40.

Evans, DeMarcus Cousins, explosive scorer Marcus Thornton and rookie sharpshooter Jimmer Fredette, have gone till the interval, the Lakers may go down 0-2 at the start of the season.
Till the halftime, the Kings shot 52. 6 percent of their field shots, including 4 of 10 from the long range. Evans led all scorers with 12 points on a 5 of 8 shooting while Thornton had 9 for the Kings. For the Lakers, Kobe Bryant
once again led with 12 points, Metta World Peace had 10 off the bench while Troy Murphy has 8 points and 6 rebounds for the Lakers, who shot at only 36.4 percent from the floor, including one three on ten attempts.
Pau Gasol, Devin Ebanks and Josh McRoberts all scored 2 points for the Lakers at the interval with a combined shooting of 2 0f 8. Kobe Bryant also struggled and was on 4 of 13. Both teams committed 6 turnovers apiece till the break.
The game got off to an even start and by the end of the first quarter, the Kings had a slender 21-20 advantage. The trend continued early in the second quarter and the Lakers were ahead by 28-27 with 8:40 to go till the break.
In the three minutes though, the Kings carved out a 12-3 spurt to take a 39-31 lead. The run was immediately countered by a 7-2 Lakers surge and with 2:03 to go, Pau Gasol made his first shot of the night to make it 40-42.
In the ensuing passage though, the Kings managed a 7-0 period and headed to the locker room with a healthy nine point lead.
