Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant hurts ankle against New Orleans Hornets - NBA Play-offs Update

The Los Angeles Lakers’ star Kobe Bryant rolled his left ankle in the National Basketball Association Play-off game against the New Orleans Hornets on Sunday night at the New Orleans Arena.
Bryant admitted to the media when he told the reporters about the pain he is feeling lately, “It's sore, it just rolled over. It's been weeks since I hurt it last and when it happens, when you roll your ankle once, it's easy to go and it just went. I'm concerned,
as I am about any injury, but I've played through so many of them it kind of becomes old hat for me.”
Despite of his sore ankle, Kobe is expected to play in the next important game for the Lakers on Tuesday. The best of seven first round play-off series is tied at 2-2 and the fifth game will be played at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
Bryant seemed determined when he said, “I should play, and it’s going to take a lot to stop me from playing.”
Kobe’s injury took place while he was defending the Hornets’ guard Willie Green. Bryant ran into Green while his ankle turned over and he lost his balance. The very next moment, Bryant fell onto Green causing a foul.
Some five weeks ago, Bryant had his ankle seriously twisted against the Dallas Mavericks in March. Kobe called this ankle sprain the “scariest” injury in his 15-year career, but even with this injury he played the entire game and did not miss any game for
this reason. Bryant is used to playing with injuries especially in the post-season as he understands his importance to the team.
Bryant also mentioned that this time his ankle injury felt different as compared to the previous one which he experienced against the Mavericks. He said, “It's more my foot, It's not really my ankle. It's my foot ... I don't really hurt that too often, so,
it's a little different for me."
Kobe scored 17 points on Sunday night in a loss to the Hornets and left the court on crutches.
