  1. None its just a game!!When we win great ,When we lose there is always next year.

    Lakers in '09

  2. I dont think the loss really hurt them but 2004 was more of the dissapointment only because they were favorite to win the championship and their starting five was considered as one of the best;

    C Shaq O'neal PF Karl Malone SG Kobe Bryant PG Gary Payton

    and it was the last chance for Karl Malone to win a championship ring.

    With the 2008 team they werent expected to go the finals, getting passed the first round of the playoffs was an accomplishment in itself for that team, and it will pretty much be the same with the 2009 team when they go for another run at the title.

  3. I agree with chargers it really sucks not to take it all after having come so far, but here's the great part about only two teams make it that far and they have to get through some tough competition.

    In the end there is always room for improvement, and in this case for next year there is almost none needed. The Lakers have an amazing squad that had an amazing second part of the season. Now we fans look forward to a brighter future with the return of andrew bynum, as fan know his potential i'm am excited to see him play with pau and the newly rejuvinated Lakers.

  4. hey lydia, the pistons are responsible for the lakers 2nd worse defeat, winning by like 30 40, and they were just shooting around.  boston realllly tried even with the lead.

  5. 2008 boston.cuz thay had like all of the games in control then lost it.do i need to mention the 20 point giveaway

  6. Both hurt. The 2004 hurt more because they had the best line up any team can ask for back in that time. Payton and Malone who sacrificed big money in order to pursue a ring. If kobe and shaq kept their heads straight they would have probably won the 2004 championship but both acted like children all year long.

    I believe this was LA's year (2008). Its hard to say they will be back here in 2009. Think about it they went through the Jazz and Spurs, but came short in the end. Next season is a different season with better teams like the Rockets, Suns, Mavs, and Hornets. So both hurt, but 2004 hurt more.

  7. As a Laker fan the 2004 loss hurt more, we were expected to be there and win with the amazing line up we had. 2008 loss hurt only because it was against Boston but we never expected to breeze through the west like we did with Gasol at C. I had expected Bynum to come back and that we would go deep in the playoff but when he stayed out i didnt really expect to make the finals. The west is stacked and we sweep Denver, Beat the Jazz and then the Spurs. I was impressed how Gasol and Kobe came together so quick and without Bynum.

    2009 LAL will get their rings. I think we overachieved in 2008 so I am glad we are were we are as a francise. All we need is a few vets on the bench but i thin LO is going to make a great SF like he was in LAC. His sze length and ability will be an issue for any other SF in the league. We have a young team and a bright future with Kobe maturing into the best team player in the game

  8. Detroit

    The Lakers were big favororites that year..........AND it ended up breaking the best duo in all of sports

    Im a big Lakeres fan so i remember the pistons coming and killing the lakers in every game

    Even in the one game Lakers won.......pistons lead by 6 with like 1 min

    Boston's win hurt but heres the fun part......Lakers are a young team..theyll prob be back for 6 more times
