I live in by LAX and I want to take the Metro to work downtown, but is parking free? What is Park/Ride mean? What does Park/Kiss mean? Are there free LAX shuttles from Marina del Rey, Venice or Santa Monica?

I need to park free or get to the metro station inexpensively and easily to make it worth it, help!

  1. Park and Ride lots are provided free.  Some lots have paid reserve sections so check the signs so you dont get a ticket for parking in some one elses spot.

Kiss and Ride is drop off only.  A boyfreind, girlfriend, husband, wife, ect can drop you there and keep going.  Do not park or you will get a ticket.  The kiss is optional.

  2. There is parking available on a limited basis at most stations.

  3. i have been riding the dart rail for 10 years now in yes the park in ride is free for people that go to work every day like me you that ride the rail in it dont cost nothing in for the guy that answer this question you dont know much of nothing do you lol park/ride means that you park your car in lock it then get on the rail in go to work when done with work go back to where your car is then go home great way to save gas on your car every day

  4. Go to www.mta.net to find your nearest Metro stop. You should be by the Green Line.

As for LAX shuttles, they've recently started the LAX Flyaway, that's a fantastic option! However, your closest Flyaway stop is at Westwood, $4/way; and departs every 30 minutes

  5. Nothing is free these days.

  6. I assume that park/ride refers to parking your car and riding to work with another. If so you may or maynot have to pay.
