My wife and I are heading to Cabo next week and now see that the forecast calls for isolated t-storms? Any idea how bad these storms are? Is it hurricane season (some sites say June 1- late fall, others September -late fall)?

  1. Probably too late to be concerned about hurricanes now.  Just go and have a good time, your chances of a hurricane are very slim.  The weather is going to be hot but you're surrounded by water and a/c.  I believe any t-storms would be typical summer storms, fast and furious and of short duration.

  2. Hola.  Well yes, we do get lots of weather during the summer in Cabo.   What you think is bad, to us is just another day.  Most rains happen overnight and dry up during the day.  You can hardly tell it rained by the afternoon.  No big deal.

Hurricanes are a dfferent story.  We've had 2 form off the coast already this year.  They didn't land but that doesn't mean we are out of the woodwork yet.  Our hurricane season is anywhere between June and November.

Hurricanes are just a way of life here.  Sure, they can cause a couple of days of inconveniences (no power/road washouts etc), but overall we just pick up and carry on.  All the resorts have contingency plans in place to assist their guests, and if a category 4 or 5 is on the way, they will make sure you are warned and if you stay...well taken care of.

  3. I was just in cabo and it was supposed to rain the whole time and it didnt the weather was hot though! Good luck!
