  1. Hiya I'm exactly the same i always say I'm going to diet this week and i don't but I'm starting the gym this week so hopefully it will help lol!..

before you start a diet you need to go shopping and stock up on plenty of fruit and vegetables so when you get hungry you can snack on these.. do not buy fatty foods except the occasional treat, drink only water, teas (no sugar) and pure fruit juices as fizzy drinks can bloat you and have lots of sugar in them.

The worst thing people do is set goals because if they don't lose as much as they wanted they tend to think oh theres no point! and give up... just way yourself every 2 weeks because the weight loss will seem more aslong as you are exercising and eating healthy.

Try to keep a food diary of what you eat and look on packets/wrappers for the amount of calories and fat in the food to makesure you are burning this off throughout the day! x*x

    good luck

  2. The only approach to deal with excess body fat is to do cardio and toning/sculpting exercises either 5 or 6 days weekly & eat 5 small healthy meals a day...1 or 2 cheat meals a week is fine...avoid fastfoods, sugary drinks and junk foods...dont do any silly diets,You cant diet for life! There is no other way to stay slim for the rest of your life...good luck

  3. The first lady who answered is 100% right. There is  your answer right there. Have a cheat day or you will go nuts one day and eat EVERYTHING in site. Also.. there is nothing like diet and exercise to boost your metabolism, mood, and weightloss. Try going for a brisk walk or a jog for 30 min or an hour 5 days in one week. It honestly get's addicting.

  4. Weight loss, toning and fitness just can't happen without willpower and commitment it seems!

The problem with your question is that if you look in "search for questions" it comes up 30 times every day. I have had some criticism for repeatedly using the same answer, but since I am happy with my answer, and the questions are the same, I don't see the issue with recycling the same answer.

In practise for problems that came up on a regular basis we tended to use patient leaflets to avoid having to repeat ourselves this seemed a sensible use of resources. What follows is thus in effect me information leaflet.

Weight loss and fitness is always a long term commitment and never a quick fix. If you really want to reduce your weight a bit, this is a complex regime, that should help, I would get a pencil to write it down, in case you forget any of the intricate details.

Currently only using the criteria 'lose weight' there are 9,419 questions and answers on Answers already. Mis-spell it as 'loose weight' and you get another 2,633! 'Weight loss' will add another 1,883. 'Too fat ' 15,515 and 'overweight' 2,692 and 'over weight' 26,269!!!!!.

'Diet Pills' gives 607, Green tea 482, Hoodia 195, 'pink patch' 119, 'Xenical' 91 'Reductil' 78, 'Slim fast' 215 (and Slimfast 69 ), lipotrim 44 and 'orlistat' 40 . Do you spot a pattern here? OMG that is 60,000 questions with the same basic theme, wanting to lose weight!

Here comes the only answer, no tricks, no pills, no short cuts, If you really want to lose weight, loose weight, not be too fat or overweight, follow these instructions carefully:-

    1) Eat less

    2) Take regular vigorous exercise

    Repeat 1 + 2 forever

  5. A pretty easy way to gradually lose weight is to snack on celery between meals to speed up your metabolism, because celery is naturally zero calories, and you burn five calories eating it, it's technically -5 calories!

Also there are 3500 calories in a pound, so if you take away 500 calories worth of the food you eat every day (pretty much equivalent to a small bag of potato chips and an iced tea) for the entire week, than by the end of the week you will have lost a whole pound without really altering too much.

If you're looking for something faster, to me, hula hooping is a total weight loss miracle! For every minute you hula hoop, you burn 10 calories. So if you were to hula hoop for an hour, you'd burn 600 calories! You'd have to power walk for three hours to achieve the same goal! Also if you hula hoop for an hour every day, by the end of the week you'd burn 4200 calories, about a pound and a half. At that rate you'd be burning three pounds every two weeks :) Swimming also burns calories faster than other exercises, if you have a hard time hula hooping, and tones every part of your body.

  6. lucky us - there is NO easy way to loose weight!

Food is actually about 80% of your weight loss - so eat healthy exercise!

I started doing core a few years ago - I am a belly dancer, and need my hips to be full, but my abs toned. Core exercises have really toned up everything in my torso including my ribs and back and lower stomach area.

Here is a great website that shows some ab workouts - or CORE training!

    http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/core-st...

Also I started running. That has helped me overall, and has toned up my thighs and calves as well - don't know if you are looking for that, but it is a great workout!

Also - I have a personal trainer at my gym and, actually they ALL stress this point very often - you should have one cheat day a week. She always says to stick to a diet 6 days a week and then have a cheat day 1 day a week - that doesn't mean to go crazy and knock yourself out by eating only chocolate and hoards of it - but go out to eat, eat that slice of cake - enjoy it! And then, then, get back to your normal days or not eating it.

This really helps your body not get too adjusted to the same routine. Your metabolism will slow down if you are staying on the same calorie intake day after day. So you are supposed to change things up. Plus this gives us all something to look forward to!

Good luck with getting those results!!! Hope this has helped.
