Lose weight and get in shape for field hockey??

I start field hockey on August 11th and right now I'm in really bad shape. I weigh 136 pounds and I am 5'5''. What should I do to lose a little weight and be prepared for field hockey?

  1. You need to exercise daily, assuming you are eating well. 30 to 60 minutes per day would be good. The exercise doesn't have to be anything outrageous, swimming, cycling or even walking. If you're walking, keep the pace brisk and for that extra input, try carrying a weight on your back such as a backpack.
