I'm a 15 year old male, weight 139 and am about 5 foot 4. My BMI is 23.9. (Normal weight is 18.5-24.9, and I'd like to get my BMI down to at least 21.x. How can I do this? I really want to lose some weight but I'm not really willing to change my eating habits. They aren't really that bad, I don't eat an ungodly amount of food, nor do I eat foods that are really fattening, But I do eat fast food around 3 times a week, because I don't always have time for a sit down meal. I do drink around 4 cans of pop a day.
I volunteer at the local dog shelter walking dogs about 3 times a week, walking dogs for about 1 and a half hours. I'm not into sports, so they're out of the question. (I do like to swim though) If I ran with the dogs instead of walking, would this help much? What else can I do to lose at least 3 pounds a month? (Without changing my eating habits)
Note: Please don't suggest anything about diet sodas etc, because
diet pop is TERRIBLE for your body! It contains aspartame which is known to burn holes into your brain and liver. It is also known to cause cancer.
So, diet sodas and artificial sweeteners are out of the question ;)
