Question:

Losing Hair Problem?!?

by  |  earlier

Whenever I wash my hair or comb it, I notice that I have been losing lots of hair.

Everyone loses hair, but I don't get why I'm losing more than I use to.

I'm only 14 years old.

My mom also has the same problem, but she been having the same problem for years now.

Whenever she washes her hair, he loses A lot of hair, probably twice as much as I do.

I'm wondering why is this happening to both of us and what can we do to stop this.

  1. go to a hair place and ask if they have anything for hair loss

  2. I have the same problem and I"m 15 I'm a person who worries alot and cause a lot of stress so when I lose lots of my hair its because of stress also hair grows alot every 5 years, so it could be your hair losing faster because its about to grow more new hair.

  3. your hair goes through stages and you loose more at times then other it is completely normal don't stress.

  4. Hair loss comes from a lot of reasons. Most of the time it is from stress, poor diet, poor hair hygiene, or poor hair health. Using the wrong products can have a big impact on your hair.

Everyone loses 80-120 hairs a day, that's normal.

If mom's hair does the same thing, then more than likely it may be genetic.

Professionally, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

    Hope that helps ya!

  5. That happened to my dad when he was 19 and he went bald. Not to scare you, 'cause it only happened to him when he was sorta-ish sick. So maybe ask a doctor.

  10. try changing shampoo's

or you could be really stressed it happens to me a lot that when my family know there is something wrong when my hair falls out! lol

  11. Go to a doctor, to find out if its a heritary problem. Also, you could instead of washing your hair constantly with water, use that dry shampoo perhaps?

  12. It could be something serious that runs in your family or something like a hormonal imbalance or lacking a certain vitamin so if you think its something like that you both should go see your doctor about it maybe they can help.

  13. get your thyroid checked both of you at the docter if you have dry skin constipation hair loss weight gain could be simple one pill a day fix have to have a blood test to check

  14. It's probably in your genes.

My mom used to have the same problem, but she started using these vitamins called "Burt's Bees" or something and it helped.

    Also eating healthier can help.

  15. this can be due to stress, hormones or since your mom has the same problem, it can be hereditary. you can help minimize the amount that you lose by doing things like detangling and combing your hair while the conditioner is still in it.

as far as products go, there are a few that you can try. i have a friend who swears by Nutrine garlic shampoo. the Nioxin line is really good. that's what i use.

  16. eat more protein and fat in your diet this will strengthen and regrow your hair

  17. my brother has a friend named pj who's actually losing hair and not groing it back and he's only 16, so maybe it's just in your dna that your losing more hair then average, but you probably grow it back.  If your not groing it back and actually getting short or bald spots you should probably consider a hair-loss solution.

  18. Doesn't sound like you are having any problems losing it, it just gets stuck in the comb.
