I think anyone who has had any dealings with the police in the last few years realizes what a waste of time they are. Do you agree??

  1. youve taken a long time getting there but well done,i havent got the time to tell you how ive been treateted or what i know, look up bad cop news, take care.

  2. No I do not agree.  Some years ago my local bobby tracked down and arrested a stalking person on my behalf.  It took him four weeks of intensive detective work.  He did a great job.

The problem for the Fuzz, especially here in London, is that very often they get dragged away from their 'local beat' and have to go up to Central London for security purposes.

The other thing is that our Fuzz now have far too much paper work.  One form, which apparently has to be filled in on the street for such as stop and fine thing, is about 12 inches long with lots of silly detail in it.

It's like this.  The UK.gov have an army of Civil Servants and in order to keep them happy and occupied, they are allowed free reign to invent new triplicate thinking on everything.  Result, lots of form filling and time wasting for the Fuzz.

Other problem is that unlike Americans, most Brits are not computer literate.  In other words, most Brits cannot type.  This means then that your average copper must write everything down in very slow long-hand.

One way to get more coppers out on the beat, is to employ more civilian workers to do all that horrid paper work back at the Fuzz House on behalf of the Bobby on the beat.

We live in a high-speed computerised age, yet UK is sluggish and slow at doing most things - so it seems to me anyway.

  3. It is not losing faith with the police, is those cronies CPS and the judges, in fact the CPS are load of to$$ers, that more than likely his in a house surrounded by a six fence and do not know what is going on in the outside world, judges cannot get the case over quick enough so they can go and have a drink most them are classed p!ss artists.

  4. Everybody says they are either useless or could be better. Apart from Ed the Fed who says they're great. And he's a policeman. How odd.......

  5. The most exspensive waste of time in Britain today!

  6. yes

  7. yes same here, but i wouldnt like to do their job.

  8. Yes, they have become arrogant, obnoxious individuals, full of their own importance

  9. In the most part yes. I have only ever met one decent Officer who actually knew what he was doing.

  10. i never used to believe the stories of how they never turn up, but over the last few years i have needed the police on three different occasions & they told me on the phone they could not attend , even though i told them there was a crime being commited. they are a joke!

  11. yeee

well everyone wants the easy way out of things

they always say they cant do this, and cant do that, the law says we cant...

    but its their job!

  12. NO ! The Police do a d**n good job with the Finances & Resources available to them ! It is the FAULT Of Society in General & the Government in Power at the Time that makes the Laws of the Land when things go WRONG in Society ! The Police have to come along & to pick up the pieces !

  13. No!Do not blame the police!Blame the politicians!

  14. It is not the police I have lost faith in its the law that they have to work by! the bleeding government has namby pamby attitude towards its criminals, giving them more rights than the victims! I feel sorry for the police as they have there hands tied also to the point where they are frustrated that they cannot punish those who deserve it!

  15. I think if you look at the wider picture you will see that the police are just puppets for the government.

This Labour Government have shafted this country big time!!!

  16. I think it's the government more than the police, these people have never lived a normal life like the rest of us but we are trusting them to decide what is best for the country.  The scales have tipped and the rich are getting richer, the poor are getting richer and the normal hardworking members of society that pay for it all are being shafted.  All these schemes to get people back to work?  How about withdrawing benefits and stop paying people for not working maybe that would help. Just a thought.........

  17. sorry its not the police it is the GOVERNING  bodies that tie their hands with human rights and PC in my day if you did wrong the copper clipped your ear if you went home and told your farther you got one from him as he said you must have earned it lets go back to when the police had some respect instead of all this RED TAPE

  18. I think anyone who thinks the British police are a waste of time needs to wait until they really really need them (we're not talking silly neighbourhood disputes or meaningless petty crime issues here) and then find out what an amazing, brave and committed group of people at least 95% of the force is.  No I'm not a policeman, just someone who has had cause to be very very grateful to the police on a number of occasions.  Stupid and vacuous generalizations like yours are an indicator of a tiny intelligence level.

  19. yep....i have found this to be the case.

  20. What would the country be like without us?

If you ring us for anything now then you are a hypocrite.

  21. They seem to care more for the criminals!

  22. I for one don't agree, sorry.  The police are working under limitations placed on them by the top brass and the government.  Can you imagine how frustrating it must be for police to run an investigation, catch the culprit only for the case to be thrown out of court on some legal technicality?

They work wonders with the budgets they are given and I believe they do the best job they can.  The have to work with so much red tape it must drive them crazy.

Thankfully I've never needed them for anything more serious than a break in, but we found them to be sensitive, caring and they made the whole nightmare much more bareable.

  23. Yes I also have lost faith in them a favourite phrase of theirs lately seems to be "technically they aren't committing a crime" be it to identity theft or threat to kill.

There is a particularly useless one that hangs around my sons school and he phoned someone to check if you park on a double yellow line with a disabled badge can you park the car up or do you have to wait in the car.  Do they not have to learn the laws of the land before being let loose on us.
