well i just got a red eared slider turtle and it was out of water for about 4 hours in all. when i got it home i set up it tank and everything and it has been in the tank for about two hours now and and i have been keeping a very close eye on it but i just noticed a like pink, fleshy spot on the back of its neck where the shell rub agent its neck when he pulls his head in and out. it's like it lost its skin. it was not like that before. why is it like that. is it because he was out of water for so long? i worryed. will it heal good? is it going to be ok? why did that happen. is it because he stressed

  1. It could be an injury or rub spot, or infection or just shedding area.  Check out this site for details and if you're not sure, have a herp vet take a look.
