  1. I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight after 2 weeks. I kept losing after that, even though I'm still struggling to get a SHAPE back.

I haven't experienced any weight gain on Mirena and I've been using it for about 2.5 months.

  2. wow, good job.  i am trying to have a baby now.  i lost 70lbs and i am terrified of putting it ALL back on.  because i am still overweight(220lbs) , my doctor told me i could get away with gaining only 15lbs and after the baby end up smaller then i am now.

so since my dr told me this i guess its okay

  3. It is normal.  I was overweight (190 lbs) when I got pregnant - and gained 20 lbs during the pregnancy.  I dropped pretty fast down to 175 lbs in the weeks after he was born - which is normal since a lot of the weight you put on the last few weeks of pregnancy is fluid from generalized edema.  I am now at 170 lbs and my son is 4 months old - the weight is still coming off, but slowly now.

I am on my second Mirena IUD in 6 years and have never gained a pound from it like I did with other birth control methods I tried.  The hormones in it are localized to your uterus only, and it has no estrogen in it (the usual weight gain culprit).

  4. I lost 30 lbs in 2 and 1/2 weeks after having my son. I was 130 pre-pregnancy and was 163 the day I had him
