Hi im 23 and im trying for my second child. Before we had our first i was about 60kg and went up to 80something. I droped down to 71 after my son was born cause i started smoking again after i stopped breast feeding ( i quit when i found out i was pregnant) and now ive quit again for good but ive put on 7kg and am now 78kgs and i hate it. I want to know if i lose weight now while im trying to conceive will it hurt the baby when i do get pregnant? im not on any huge diet but im wanting to just eat fruit and vege for a while and just do my palates dvd everyday...also will this help to lose the extra kilos? my son is only 17 months and they say it takes two years to lose the baby weight so i could still just be full of fluid. any thoughts?

  1. exercise is good while ttc even moderate exercise is good while pregnant.. but nothing too strenuous otherwise it can hurt the baby, so if you feel you want to go sign up for a gym membership and get a little more in shape then go for it, it certainly wont hurt your chances of conceiving but dont over do it just in case you may be pregnant

  2. I am also trying to loose about 10-15 pounds and I go to the gym almost everyday. Both my trainer and my doctor said it is perfectly healthy and if I do get pregnant all I have to do is cut my workout down and make it less exhausting. It sounds like you are eating right so I think you are completely fine. Good luck!

  3. You can exercise, but you need to eat a healthy diet and not try to drop too much weight if you're trying to conceive. Your body can only hand one major thing at a time, so it's weight loss or baby.
