My little one is just about 4 months and started teething. Did you little ones seem to lose their appetites at times due to it? He has barely taken his bottles today!

  1. Ive heard thats normal.

  2. Yes, my daughter is 5 months old, and is going through the same thing :-(

  3. Yes they do! My 4 month old hasn't started teething yet. But that was definitely the case with my 16 month old!!

  4. Yes his mouthh hurts . try putting some baby orajel on his gums about 10minuetss befor you feed him  or try giving him a cold bottle the cold nipple and formula feels good on sore gums . these are the only way I can get my son to eat or take a bottle when teething.

  5. Of course he wont take his bottle, his mouth hurts.  All of my kids were eating solids at this age, so if he is ready or you are ready I would try solids. If not, maybe try formula or water or both off a spoon. Its takes forever but he will still get something in his tummy, stay hydrated and learn to eat from a spoon at the same time!

You muight want to try frozen fruit.  You can buy those little mesh teether things in the baby isle and put frozen fruit in them. Its keeps them from getting chunks in their mouth to choke one, it helps freeze or numb their gums and introduces them to new flavors. Or try letting him chew on a frozen popsicle and then getting numb before handing him a bottle.

    Good Luck

  6. Yes, my daughter was like this. Except she was 12 months and she refused to eat anything. Don't worry about it, he will eat if he is hungry enough. I just had to keep offering food throughout the day and she eventually ate a little at a time.
