ok here it is, i was visiting canada earlier this year and stayed with a guy i met online, we were together for 2 months, this did not work out, however i am still really good friends with his sister (i am back in australia now).. when i returned homw about a month later i found out that i was 15 weeks pregnant, this guy has put a ban on us talking for 6 months so i can sort my head out, i have since found out that he is now dating and possibly engaged to someone else, the 6 month ban is to be lifted in another 18 days, i have sufferred severe depression as a result of this and now my delemia is do i tell him that i am pregant with his child, i mean i so want to tell him and have him and his family involved in this childs life if they so wish too, however if he has moved on and is really engaged i do not want to burden him with such news, and if i do tell him when do i tell him, now, after the ban or after the baby is born, or should i just plan a trip over there to tell him face to face and give him the opportunity to meet his child, i am so lost and confused and desperate, any help or advice would be appreciated

  1. the ban doesnt apply in this case and having a baby changes things dramatically. you have to tell him whether or not he is moved on becuse a child is a lifelong partnership and the two of you need to come up with a plan of action for this baby.

dont feel guilty about getting pregnant he had birth control options also and it affects you just as much as it affects him so there is no need to burden him. and dont pity him, just lift your head up high and start walking one step at a time and take control and make sure that he does at least half of what you are doing for the child you had together and if his new family doesnt like it then they need to find someone else.

  2. tell him and offer a option. be involved and pay child support, or sign his rights away. that way he can't show up years later and complicate a life you've made for yourself that may include someone else

  3. as your duties as a mother u must tell him that he his the father of your child and as his duties as a man and as a father must provide for your and your young one

  4. Youve got to tell him before the babies born. Theres nothing else I can tell you, just tell him if he wants to here it or not.

  5. just tell him

next level of involvement would be to tell his parents,

    then his girlfriend

most likely it will come out at some point in the future anyways

I am male, so no experience in this whatsoever, but I would strongly recommend getting emotional support from your family, that is the best thing to do for now

  6. you should tell him now on the phone so that mayby you two can try to make it work again for the child, thats what happened with my fiance and i, i was just 17 when i found out i was pregnant and he was cheating on me , i was stressed out to and we've been thru rough times but are still together after 4 kids and  8 years later. you should tell him on the phone and dont make it about you two, make it about the baby and youll find out wht kind of person he really is!

it sounds like he was using you, taking advantage of you, did you pay your way over there? hes a loser but thats life, you get pregnant for a loser and now all you need to do is take care of yourself, and stop stressing so that you can have an easier healthy baby!!

  7. Forget the ban on talking. Contact him immediately and tell him straight out. He slept with you so he knew there was a risk. He was just as involved as you in creating your child and you don't have any reason to feel bad. Whether or not he is engaged, its his child too.

He has a right to know about and be involved in his child's life as long as he isn't involved in a life style which would harm the child. He also has a responsibility to help you support that child.
