Lost; Anybody else also hate the character of Hurley? Don't you wish he wasn't in the story?

I find him so repulsive and a bit retarded. I just cringe sometimes to his action. I wish the writers hadn't included him.

  1. Im sorry but i love him:).

He is so cute and i love idk i just love him....

I think he kinda makes the hole LOST thing complete i guess is the word.

Like how he is seein Charly but Charly is really dead.Idk i like him

Sorry you didnt want to hear that but i had to put my say so in it....

  2. Hurley brings much-needed comedy and a lighter perspective to the story. The story can be so dark and twisted at times that it's nice to have a simpler character with a more humorous perspective on things. Plus, Hurley's backstory is the one that introduced the all-important "numbers" to the island, and he is the one character who has managed to stay somewhat neutral among the others, and he acts as a much-needed peacemaker at times.  You don't have to love his character, but recognize his importance to the storyline and the contrast he brings to other characters.

  3. Hurley might be a bit annoying at times, but he has an interesting back story which is integral to the plot, a good character arc, and provides a lot of comic relief. And when compared to Jack and Kate, he is the Gatsby of television in terms of depth.

  4. Aww thats mean i like him.

I wish Locke and Juliette weren't in the story though.

I regularly change my mind to who i hate more little Johnny Locke or pain-in-the-backside Juliette :)

  5. i think he adds in a much needed comic relief. he's supposed to be repulsive and retarded, he's quite insane. since they killed off charlie, hurley had to fill in for the comedy.

  6. i feel exactly the same way but he is a key charecter in the show so we cant do anything about it but i really really do hate hurley alot!!

  7. Here is what I don't get about hurley. . .  How the h**l is he GAINING weight on a desserted island? I mean wouldn't the whole lack of food issue and constant actiity for self preservation shave a few of those pounds away?

He's definitely not my fave character but I think he is necessary in some respects.  And yes, he is a bit respulsive and annoying. I think that is kinda the beauty of lost though- that they deliver us realistic characters. We hate some of them and love some of them.
