Lost Indian (J&K) Passport in India?

I belong to J&K, staying in Hyderabad since 5 years, I lost my passport in Hyd which is already expired(expired in 2007).I have only Passport number with me not even photocopy of same. Please advice how to proceed inorder to get the passport.

First you have to lodge a complaint regarding loss of the Passport with nearest Police Station and get a copy of FIR from them.  Then you can submit application for new passport submitting copy of F.I.R. with the application.

first of lodge an FIR inthe polic Station in the area you lost your passport in. then apply for fresh passport in Hyderbad passport office. in the proper columns of the passport where they ask u that i u have any passport earlier , mention this passport number and place of issue ( date of issue also if u remember ) and write a not there only the origional passport has been lost and FIR is attatched.

First of all you have to make a compliet in a police station where it lost

you have to collect the copy of First Informatob Report from Police station...

then u can aply foe a new passport in passport controll office
