I recently bought a new USB mouse that froze every now and then and required unplugging and replugging. When I attempted to have XP automatically search and update drivers, it came back with a message saying the software was not certified etc. but I installed it anyway.
Immediately after that, Windows crashed and rebooted. From then on, Internet applications such as browsers and antivirus can't access the Internet (not even the router) but I can ping normally.
On the mouse's box there's a Vista logo but no XP logo. I have tried rolling back the driver but it says there is no previous version to rollback to. I have also tried do restore XP to previous restore points but XP is always unable to restore.
Any ideas?
