Lost Mail. How do I get it?

If I ordered 2 things from England a month ago and one didn't come, (they claim they sent the other one) who do I contact about this? Would I contact the company I ordered from, or would I contact my local post office? How do I get what I ordered?!

you can try both but i suggest call the company  and then call the post office and see if they have anything
