Question:

Lost Package through USPS- major dilemna!?

Okay, so I sold a textbook online through the USPS. A few days ago, I got the wrapping back, saying the book had been separated from its packaging. I also got a form to fill out to request a search for the book. I also marked that I wanted the book to be mailed directly to the addressee if found. So, I e-mailed the person who was buying the book about the situation. Now, it's been a few days, and today she e-mails me back saying that if the book doesn't come to her this week she wants a refund. So my questions are:

What are the chances of the book being found?

How long will it be until I get a response from the USPS?

And is there any way I can change my request to have the book sent to me if found?

A major concern of mine is that I'll refund her and she'll have the book delivered to her, essentially, for free.

  1. The chances of your book being found are low. The chances of it being found quickly are very low. You'll have to ask the post office about modifying your request.

  2. i'm not sure about your dillemma but maybe you could help me with my USPS question?
