  1. ahahha braces again!!!!

  2. You need to get an orthodontic piece on immediately. Braces or another retainer. Quick! Make an appointment!

  3. They could move back, my bottom teeth moved back after a week of not wearing one but my top teeth have stayed in the same place for 2 years almost. It just depends.

  4. No.  Teeth have memory and will retract back to the way they were before the retainer.  You're teeth probably have not shifted a lot though because it's only been a few months.  If you want to stop the issue, just go get a new retainer.

  5. nope, unlesss you get braces or different retainers.

  6. you should be ok for about a week but try to buy a new one as soon as possible

  7. No they will not move back, that would be the purpose of the retainer.  I just got mine from the ortho yesterday.  You may have already ruined your teeth.  Call the ortho ASAP, since the teeth have already moved, you may need to get fitted for a brand new retainer, or gasp, have the braces put back on.

  8. you should have gone to the dentist immediately but your dentist might still have your molds so you might have some hope and then you would have to hope that you could cram it on again.

  9. There goes $300 dollars lol.  If you get some new ones soon, they'll probably shift back.  It'll be really tight though.  If you don't get new ones soon, then you'll just need to get braces again.

  10. Hi there, I work in an Orthodontic clinic in Melbourne. You have a few options.. One, if you find your retainer, try and put it back in. Don't force it too much; if it doesn't fit at all, you will need to revisit your orthodontist. They can either, a) Make you a new retainer, to keep your teeth how they are, so that they won't move anymore or b) They should be able to make you another retainer with a spring on it, where you can wear it full time for maybe 4 weeks, and they spring(s) will push the teeth back into alignment. The only time they'd put braces back on would be if your lower teeth have moved a lot, and even then, it would only be partial braces - say, on the front 6 teeth, and you'd only have them on for a few weeks.

If you can find your old retainer, you can try wearing it full time for a month, and your teeth may move back into position.

    Hope I've helped!

  11. They won't move back straight without the help of another retainer or braces.  You should have gone to your orthodontist as soon as you lost your retainer so that they could make a new mold of your teeth to make a new retainer as retainers are made to specifically fit and work for your teeth.  Since you didn't go then (when your teeth were still straight) it would be difficult to get a retainer that will work properly made for you.  Your orthodontist might have a mold of your teeth that he can make a new retainer from but that is unlikely since the process of making the retainer typically destroys the mold.  I would go and talk to your orthodontist as soon as you can to discuss the situation.  Good luck!

  12. lmao you shouldnt have done that theyre gonna give you braves again

  13. I don't think so. Depends how they have shifted.

You will have to get a retainer again!

I have one, and if I don't wear it just for a week, I can feel the difference when I put it on, its tight and uncomfortable.

  14. yea they will i  lost mine for 2 weeks and they had to make me another one lol =] smile!!!

  15. no

  16. if you havent had ur retainer for a wile then the movement will be a lot quicker. if uv had a retainer for a long time u could go for like a week tell u get a replacement

  17. I would suggest going to the orthodontist. If you needed a retainer you should have gone within the week you lost it.

  18. LOL at Sunshine's comment haha.

  19. yeah did the same thing. Get it back soon though because your trying to reduce the movement of your teeth so they can fix properly. It wont be a problem its just lost you 2 months of progress.

  20. my cousins did after she didnt wear her ritainers after her braces were takin off

  21. I got an ugly retainer after braces so I hardly wore it and my teeth didn't move back that much but you need to go get a replacement pretty quick

  22. my cousin used a retainer then stopped aftr a while.. her teeth messed up again but not as bad as they were before she evr used the retainer.
