I seem to have recently lost the ability to whistle! I know this sounds really odd, but i have a puppy and up until a few days ago i had perfected the dog recall whistle........ now it seems to have disappeared over night. I do have a bit of a cold and am not feeling great at the moment...... Do you think it is temporary or could it be more serious? Any suggestions greatly recieved!

  1. its not serious its just a whistle hun! x

  2. Relax....your whistle will come back!

This happens to me when I get a cold or am feeling sick / run down...or even when I'm dehydrated.  I just assume that all this affects the mucous membranes of the lips, leading to the inability to whistle properly.

  3. this could be serious actually...... bells palsy can cause you to loose you ability to whistle.

have you had a chill in your face (poss when out walking your dog). or caused by the cold you have!!!

i would advise a trip to the docs asap.

bells palsy is the temporary or even perminate lose of use of muscle in the face.

  4. i would go to the store and buy a whistle.
