Lost and found?

i had a cockatiel and he flew away and after a month a cockatiel came near my house and i caught him and put him in the house.how can you tell that this cockatiel is the other one?

the other cockatiel used to talk and flies on me.but this cockatiel is afraid.can after a week become like the other one

It might be, if you remember what it looked like. when birds get free they loose all memory and forget what a finger is, what a human is, wat a house is ect...

i recomend putting an add in the news paper saying found, if no reply keep it and train it.

Pet birds can quickley become untamed in the wild so this could be your old friend.

As for telling if it is your other cockatiel or not you have to pay attention to detail. Did your bird have any specific feather markings? If you don't remember you could look at an old photo or somthing.

Or you could determine it on attitude. Each and every bird has its own feelings and attitude toward a person or another bird. They are just like us. If your bird was sweet and caring toward you but this one is adventourus then that may not be your bird.
