Lost cd-rom

Question

the installation cd that came wh the item was lost before we could download it to the mp3 player. so what do we do as far as getting that info to the mp3 player to begin actually using it to download music and movies?smal 1GB MP3 player lost installation cd. can not use it . this item was bought for my grandson and he threw away the cd not knowing. can I download the information if so from where.
