Lost green card; only have photocopy of the front of card?

I want to apply for a new green card, but I am not able to use any other identifications such as passports or California ID. It is not possible for me to obtain the California ID because I do not have a valid passport and I cannot obtain my birth certificate (I was born in Korea and am no longer in contact wiht parents). I do have a photocopy of my green card which I can use to obtain a new card, but it is only of the front. Would this still be ok to show as proof even if I don't have the photocopy of the back? Thanks for the help.
