  1. only thing they could do is POSSIBLY obtain medical care and bill your dad's insurance company for it. But, even with that, it is unlikely because more and more, hospitals and doctors are requiring photo ID. And they certainly won't get anyone into a bar so there isn't much reason to steal them.

It is my opinion that, overall, you personally don't have anything to worry about. Health Insurance cards are generally NOT one of the forms of ID universally accepted for establishing identity. Call your agent and you should be able to obtain a duplicate card. In fact, with some companies, you can access your account online (well, in this case, your Dad) and print them directly off the computer.

  2. This happened to me and what I did was call my insurance company and had them mail another card out. Tell them what happened and if anyone tries to use it, in the meantime, they will be able to stop the charges. good luck!

  3. talk to the human resources at the place he works and get the number of the company to talk to. Then they will be able to issue a new card and also if any charges are made they may check with you first.

    Good Luck!

  4. No.

  5. Well call your insurance company or member services and ask for a new card. Its as easy as that.
