Lost luggage but no help from princess cruises?

luggage misplaced in rome after cruise After 6 e-mails to you a fax and numerous phone calls I have had little or noreply to my problem it is now 18days on after holiday

We watched lugguge fall overboard when loaded. It wasn't princess. We were told it was a different company hired outside of the cruise lines that handle the lugguage on and off ship. Did you have insurance? If you didn't, frankly I don't know what cold be done.

Was your luggage lost by the cruise line or the airline?  You have to contact the one who is responsible.

Unfortunately thousands of people's luggage are 'misplaced' every year by cruise liners/airliners etc. They just disappear never to be found again. I have heard that Princess cruises aren't very good at dealing with situations like this, basically saying it was your luggage, your responsibility etc even though it is not your fault because THEY have lost it. I would keep on contacting them but the chances are either a baggage handler has stolen it or some other person has taken it and decided not to return it. Presumably you had travel insurance as this will be probably the only way you will get any money back for the items you have lost.
